GREATER ENNIS UNITED WAY Received a $2,600 Grant from Truist for COVID-19 Relief Efforts in Ennis, Texas and the surrounding community.  The grant is part of the financial services company’s Truist Cares initiative, a $25 million philanthropic pledge announced in March to support basic needs, medical supplies and financial hardship relief due to COVID-19. I want to thank each of you for helping make GAKAC the awesome event it is.  This year we registered nearly 375 families and 1,200 children (we gave away 1,100 backpacks).  There are 60 family portraits we will hand deliver to continue the relationship building aspect of this program.  Our bills are nearly paid and it looks like we will roll a little over $10,000 into the next program year.
